Winter Concert

Friday, March 13, 7:30 pm, the Fox Valley Concert Band, conducted by Dr. Marc Sackman will give its Winter concert at Xavier High School Fine Arts Center. The concert is free and open to the public. The program will feature music written for band by American composers, including Rejouissance (James Curnow), Blue Shades (Frank Ticheli), and First Suite for Band by Thom Ritter George as well as Appalchian Spring by aaron Copland transcribed for band. Also on the program is a new composition by Shuying Li, In This Breath, composed as a tribute to her partner band director Glen Adsit who passed away suddenly in 2024.
