- **Event Description**: Following the launch of Trout Unlimited's Priority Waters initiative; Fox Valley TU, Central Wisconsin TU, TUCARES, and the Wisconsin DNR identified the Mecan River Watershed as our Priority Water in the Central Sands Region of Wisconsin.  

The team vetted consultants to partner with on the development of a plan that will form the basis for guiding our future work in the watershed.  Our final selection was Merjent Inc. a company that offered all the right resources and capabilities to build out the plan.  

With Merjent, our team has worked diligently to identify and engage many key stakeholders including county management, conservation organizations, TU National, and local landowners, to name a few.

After months of due diligence, we are excited to present the Mecan River Watershed Management Plan.  Please join us in-person or online as Chris Firkus from Merjent and Dave Bolha from the WI DNR present an overview of the work that has been completed to date.
