The organ recital will include a tribute to, and feature works of J.S. Bach, G.F. Handel, and Heinrich Schütz. All three composers died on July 28: Schütz died July 28, 1672; Bach died July 28, 1750; and Handel died July 28, 1759.

The program will include Bach’s Organ Concerto in A-minor; Handel’s Organ Concerto in F-major, a hymn setting of Heinrich Schütz, and an organ transcription of Debussy’s “Clair de Lune” (which translates to “moonlight”) in celebration of that day being a full moon.

The LORS is free and open to the public.
