Kids will get an up close look at what invasive species are in comparison to native plants and why managing them matters.After our work is done, we’ll trade our work gloves for paddles and head out on the water for a guided kayak tour of the Wekiwa River ecosystem. From the water, we’ll explore the springs and river, look for native wildlife, and see firsthand the habitat we just helped protect.Along the way, we’ll learn more about the Wekiva Basin, its wildlife, native plants, waterways, and the conservation work happening to keep this special part of Central Florida wild.OUR MISSIONLearn about invasive and native Florida species2.
