April group walk: Bracks Access & Station Beach Loop, Cape Otway

Location:
Cape Otway.

Distance:
9.7 km circuit, taking 2.5 hours to complete.

Difficulty level:
It is a medium grade, with an elevation gain of 198 metres.

Meeting point:
Cape Otway Lighthouse. Heading westward to the other side of Apollo Bay.

Highlights:
This hike takes us inland into the forest, then loops us back to the rugged coast along a segment of the Great Ocean Walk, with spectacular views of the Cape Otway lighthouse.

This walk is just down the road from the beautiful little rainforest walk at Maits Rest, which I highly recommend adding into your day if you come for this hike (do it after the hike).
