📣 You’re Invited! Trail Wanderings & Wonderings
📅 Sunday, December 14th
⏰ 10:00 AM
📍 Easy 1-mile walk on a quiet dirt road through old-growth chaparral
Join us for a relaxed morning ramble as we wander and wonder our way through one of the region’s beautiful old-growth chaparral habitats at the base of Cahuilla Mountain. This slow-paced, family-friendly walk is perfect for anyone curious about local plants, seasonal changes, or simply looking to enjoy a peaceful trail with good company.
We’ll stroll about a mile along a gentle dirt road, taking time to observe, ask questions, and appreciate the subtle magic of this unique landscape.
All are welcome — bring your curiosity and comfortable walking shoes!
From Hwy 371, take Cary Rd north, continue as it turns into Tripp Flats Rd for 1.8 miles. There is a Forest Service sign showing access to trail to Cahuilla Mtn, turn left and drive the 0.9 mile to the old Ranger Station. We assemble there at 10am.
