Olivier Abbeloos (co-founder of T 99 & Quadrophonia) became one of the defining DJs of Belgium’s early nineties club scene. Holding residencies at: La Rocca, Fill Collins Club, and Studio Live (Who’s Who’s Land). During this period he was guided by Olivier Pieters of the legendary Boccaccio.
Unearthed from forgotten DAT tapes recorded between 1993 and 1994, these archives capture the raw pulse of Belgium’s vibrant club years, a scene built on groove, intuition, and fearless creativity.
Various Identities of Olivier Abbeloos is a carefully curated selection from this archive, compiled and restored with patience and respect.
These tracks form a portrait of an artist whose influence reaches far beyond his better known projects (from T99 to Quadrophonia), offering us a glimpse into the human,creative spirit behind those pioneering sounds.
Released as Hoot004, this compilation is more than a historical document: ‘It’s a tribute to Olivier, to his curiosity, and to a moment when everything felt possible…
