Hooverphonic komt op vrijdag 6 februari 2026 naar de Lotto Arena in Antwerpen ter ere van 25 jaar ‘The Magnificant Tree. Een groots jubileumconcert van hun iconische album mét hun grootste hits!
De groep werd oorspronkelijk opgericht in 1995 onder de naam ‘Hoover’ door gitarist en producer Alex Callier, toetsenist Frank Duchêne en gitarist Raymond Geerts. Vijf jaar later, in 2000, laten ze het succesalbum ‘The Magnificent Tree’ op de wereld los. Het derde studioalbum van de band met Geike Aernaert als frontvrouw, is een echte mijlpaal in hun oeuvre en zorgde ervoor dat hun internationale carrière in een stroomversnelling terechtkwam.‘The Magnificent Tree’ is een tijdloze klassieker die de signature sound van de band weerspiegelt, en leverde bovendien vier gigantische hits op: Mad About You, Vinegar & Salt, Out of Sight en Jackie Cane. Leuk weetje: Het album stond meer dan twee jaar lang in de Ultratop albumhitlijsten en is met meer dan 340.000 fysiek verkochte albums en 165 miljoen streams één van de meest succesvolle Belgische albums aller tijden.
Dit jaar is het exact 25 jaar geleden dat de band dit album op de wereld losliet. Om hun succesalbum te vieren, trekken ze in september maar liefst tweemaal naar de AB in Brussel. De twee shows verkochten in een mum van tijd uit, maar fans hoeven niet te treuren want vandaag kondigen Alex Carlier & co wegens grote vraag een groots jubileumconcert aan in de Lotto Arena in Antwerpen : Op vrijdag 6 februari 2026 zal de groep er het podium betreden om hun iconische album live tot leven te brengen. Daarnaast zullen ze ook andere succesnummers brengen waarmee ze wereldwijd de hitlijsten veroverden én ook nieuwe muziek.
