For this event, we will be at the Moka Pot cafe in Manchester!!
This will be a workshop hosted by Slam Free Die regular Cherie Konyha Greene! It is free to get in but we strongly encourage people to order drinks and tip generously!

Workshop Title: The Illogical Adjective Game 
In this workshop, we will start by presenting some poems that use unexpected adjectives to good effect, including examples by Pablo Neruda.  Then we will play a card matching game to generate prompts.


About the Workshop Host:

Cherie Konyha Greene, MA, MFA, is a poet, novelist, lay preacher and occasional dramatist. She is a regular contributor, competitor, and staff member with Slam Free or Die. In her poems, Cherie writes about politics, nature, spirituality, and the dignity of everyday objects. She lives on the West Side of Manchester with two roommates and two cats. Her favorite things include clowns, Baroque music, reading anything aloud, hard rock, and dancing with her grandchild.

Our space is pro safety and pro vaccination. We encourage all unvaccinated individuals to wear masks during our events.

About Slam Free Or Die - Poetry Open Mic & Slam:
Slam Free Or Die @ Stark Brewing Company is a series of open mic nights for poets and spoken-word artists every Thursday night in Manchester, NH. There is an open mic every night and poetry slams are also held several times a month. Doors open and sign-ups begin at 7pm with open mic beginning at 8pm. Featured poets and slams follow the open mic. Come and enjoy the delicious food and beverages at Stark Brewing Company! There is a $3-$5 cover charge. We take cash and Venmo (@ slamfreeordie) This is an all-ages show in a private function room. For more information: e-mail SlamFreeorDie@gmail.com or call 603-858-3286. Stark Brewing Company is located next to Arms Park at 500 N. Commercial Street in Manchester, NH. There is plenty of free parking at the rear of the building (facing the river) and you can feel free to use the entrance on that side.
