'Sally Pointers' Wet felt Rock formed bag workshop

Join Sally Pointer, award-winning experimental archaeologist and heritage educator, for a creative hands-on workshop exploring the ancient craft of felt-making. Taking inspiration from archaeological designs, Sally will guide you through the process of using natural wool and a smooth, beach-worn pebble as a resist to shape and form your own unique wet-felted bag.

Finish your creation with a drawstring or toggle, beads, or tassels, and enjoy a relaxed, friendly day of making.

You’ll go home with a beautiful handmade bag (and you might even have time to make a second bag or a small hat!) along with a new appreciation for this timeless textile tradition.
