Join the 4th edition of the Maharlika Backyard Ultra 2026, a bronze ticket event that will test your limit and endurance. 

I. Overview and Rules for Backyard Ultra

1. Course
-Race route with a total (at least) of 6.7056 kilometers

2. Starting Corral
-Measured to fit entire starting field
-Corral stays the same size thru out the event
-Participants must be in  starting corral at the bell or is DQed

3. Starts
-Each loop starts precisely 1 hour after the last
-Warning must be given 3, 2, and 1 minutes prior to start
-All competitors must start at the bell (no late starts)

4. Loops
-Except for restrooms, competitor may not leave the course until each loop is completed
-No non-competitors on the course (including eliminated runners)
-No personal aid during a loop (common aid stations are allowed)
-Each loop must be completed within an hour to be counted… including the final lap.
-No artificial aids (including trekking poles)
-Slower runners must allow passes.

5. Timing
-Timing of the loops is optional

6. Winner/Results
-The winner is the last person to complete a loop
-All others are technically DNF
-Results of each runner in terms of distance covered are to be given.
-If no runner can complete one more loop than anyone else, there is no winner.

7. Cap
-Race must be open ended

II. Entry requirements
- Participants should be 18 years old and above
- Submission of signed waiver during race bib claiming

III. Mandatory items
- Headlamp (6pm-6am)
- Hydration system

IV. Schedule of activities
Race kit claiming - 5:00 am
Briefing - 5:30 am
Gun start - 6:00 am

V. Registration
Registration fee: PHP 1,500.00

VI. HOW TO GET TO THE EVENT VENUE

1. Via public transportation

Option 1. Ride a jeep with signage 'AFP Housing/Silangan' either in Marikina Jeepney Terminal or along Aurora Blvd. corner C. Benitez street, Cubao.

💸 Fare - Php 35.00

Option 2. From Ampid, San Mateo, Rizal (beside Mercury Drug), take a tricycle going to AFP Housing.

🕙 Availability - 24 hours
💸 Fare - Php 200.00

*From AFP Housing,  a tricycle going to Corterra Eco Reserve

💸 Fare - Php 100.00 good for 2 pax

2. Via private vehicle
You can go directly to Corterra Eco Reserve.

VII. Awards
Last one standing shall receive:
- Trophy
- Race entry in any Maharlika Trail Series events
- Cash prize (Php. 5,000.00) for sole winner
- Additional Php. 1,500.00 for 19 loops and up
