Join us for a COMMUNITY ART WORKSHOP where creativity meets climate action! Together, we’ll paint and design textile panels that will be stitched into a powerful, continuous RIBBON OF HOPE. On September 20, this ribbon will be carried during the climate march to Antigonish Town Hall—a living symbol of our collective commitment to protecting the planet.
This workshop will be hosted by artist Nancy Turniawan, who will be joined by several other artists acting as mentors to guide and inspire participants. Families are especially encouraged to join—parents and children can work side-by-side, learning together about climate change while creating something beautiful and lasting.
All supplies will be provided—just bring your energy, imagination, and determination for a brighter future.
After the march, the ribbon will be displayed at Candid Brewery during a Social and later exhibited at the Antigonish Town & County Library, so the community can continue to reflect on its message.
This is more than an art project—it’s a chance to create something beautiful, powerful, and lasting together. Families, students, and all community members are warmly welcome!
