Performance Pistol: Advanced Skill Development is a two-day, high-round-count advanced pistol course designed for shooters who already possess a solid foundation and are ready to refine performance, efficiency, and execution under pressure.
This course is not entry level. It is intended for motivated shooters who want to validate skills, improve technical performance, and train in a demanding but professional environment. Instruction is delivered in structured blocks by Daniel Richardson (Richardson Precision & Training) and Ken Stretz of Stretz Tactical, providing students with exposure to multiple instructional perspectives.
Ken Stretz brings extensive law enforcement and military experience to the range and serves as a Safariland Blog Author and Brand Ambassador, offering proven insight into real-world equipment usage and duty-based application.

Prerequisites
This course is not for brand-new shooters. Students must meet one or more of the following prerequisites:
• Possess a working knowledge of firearms operation and safe handling skills, or
• Have completed a Level 1 / Fundamentals pistol course with a reputable instructor or training organization
Students should be comfortable safely drawing from a holster, reloading, clearing malfunctions, and working at an accelerated pace.

Equipment & Ammunition Requirements
• Minimum of 1,000 rounds of ammunition required (additional ammunition recommended)
• Reliable handgun and STURDY holster suitable for high-volume training
• NO SERPA HOLSTERS, unless they are issued duty holsters required by your agency
• Magazine pouches and a minimum of 3 magazines
• Eye and ear protection
• Ability to stand, move, and train on the range for extended periods
