We provide all drawing materials, including pencils, a sketchbook, shading stumps, and erasers. The cost of these supplies is included in your ticket, so you can simply show up ready to create.
Info: We will begin with a series of quick warm-up sketches to loosen up and prepare our eyes and hands for longer drawing sessions. Students will complete two 2-minute sketches, two 5-minute sketches, and one 10-minute sketch. Each timed drawing will be done from a different angle to encourage observation, accuracy, and confidence in mark-making.
Info: For this session, we will create a warm and inviting still-life arrangement using fresh breads, pastries, and select items from the café’s menu. Participants will choose their vantage point and spend the hour observing shapes, textures, lighting, and composition as they sketch the assembled display.
This slower, focused drawing period gives each artist the chance to explore detail, shading, and form at their own pace. From flaky croissants to rustic loaves and steaming mugs, the goal is to capture the character and charm of everyday café items while building stronger observational and rendering skills.
A calm hour, a cozy atmosphere, and a table full of inspiration—perfect for honing your craft.
Info: Students will gather to share their work, discuss their process, and offer supportive feedback to one another. The goal of this peer review is to build confidence, identify strengths, and learn new techniques through open, constructive conversation. This session helps artists grow by reflecting on their work and observing the approaches of others.
