CHERISH Act Senate hearing: pack the room!

The CHERISH Our Communities Act is critical environmental justice legislation to create new protections for communities in Maryland that face the most pollution – which is important now more than ever. In an approach shaped by frontline communities and based on bills that have successfully passed in NJ, MN, and NY, it will put a stop to treating overburdened communities as sacrifice zones, and it’ll creating space for positive development that doesn’t harm people’s health to thrive.

The public hearings on this bill are coming up at 1PM on Tuesday 3/3 in the Senate and Tuesday 3/10 in the House. We need to pack the room to show the legislature that this is a must-pass bill!
