Join Townsville Hike & Explore for a relaxed, family-friendly walk and swim at the beautiful Cockatoo Creek - a fun and refreshing outdoor experience suitable for all ages.

We’ll enjoy an easy walk on trail through natural bushland before reaching Cockatoo Creek, where there’ll be time to swim, splash, explore, or simply relax by the water. This is a laid-back morning designed for families, friends, and anyone wanting to enjoy nature at an easy pace.

Children are very welcome! Please remember that everyone is responsible for their own safety, and parents/guardians are fully responsible for supervising their own children at all times, especially around water.

☀️ Make a Morning of It
Bring along snacks or morning tea, plenty of water, and anything you’d like for a relaxed break by the creek. We’ll take our time to enjoy the surroundings, refuel, and soak up the peaceful atmosphere.

We will MEET at the Annandale Shopping Centre (KFC Carpark) at 8am sharp for a pre-hike/safety briefing and to organise carpooling to the start point. It’s approximately 30 minutes drive to the start point.

Please BE ON TIME and considerate of your fellow attendees by changing your RSVP if you cannot attend. 

Please be open to CARPOOLING to reduce our environmental impact and traffic on the road.
