The longest nights of the year often feel the heaviest. As daylight fades and the holidays approach, many of us carry sorrow, stress, or memories that make this season especially tender. You’re not alone.
Begin the evening with our community dinner at 4:45pm, featuring a Mac & Cheese Bar—warm comfort food with adult and kid friendly toppings, and a welcoming space for all ages.
At 6:00pm, join us for a Blue Christmas worship service: a gentle, reflective time of Scripture, prayer, and music designed to bring comfort and hope in the midst of darkness. Together, we’ll acknowledge our grief, hold space for one another, and remember that God’s light meets us even in our longest nights.
Following worship, stay for a therapeutic gathering from 6:45–7:30pm. This calming session offers a quiet space to rest, breathe, and reconnect. Through grounding practices, soothing breathwork, chair-based movement, and guided meditation, we’ll honor both sorrow and hope—allowing what feels blue to become something beautiful. You’ll also learn simple, science-backed strategies for supporting emotional balance and soothing the nervous system during difficult seasons. Come exactly as you are. This session will be facilitated by Dawn Schaefer Stumpf, a body-mind-heart therapist in Annandale at Room to Grow.
