Port Stephens in Print is returning for its third year, and we are so excited to see this community exhibition continue to grow and evolve.

The exhibition began three years ago through a shared love of photography, print, and the Port Stephens region. It grew within Lion Studios from the wonderful local photography community connected through the Port Stephens in Pictures Facebook group. 

From the beginning, the idea was simple: to take the beautiful images being shared online and give them a chance to be seen in print.

So many photographs are viewed quickly on screens and then disappear into the scroll. Port Stephens in Print gives local photographers the opportunity to see their work physically printed professionally, displayed and celebrated within the community. Through the generosity and dedication of CD Fine Art Prints, photographers of all levels get to experience their images professionally printed using the highest quality archival inks on premium Ilford photographic paper.

In its first year, the exhibition helped bring this idea to life.

Last year, the exhibition continued to grow with the introduction of different categories, allowing for a wider range of photographic styles and subjects to be recognised.

This year, Port Stephens in Print is evolving again.
For 2026, the exhibition will be held at Soldiers Point Bowling Club, with generous support from the club. This new location gives us the opportunity to display all submitted images across the exhibition weekend, removing the space limitations we have previously worked around in the gallery.

✨Join us for the opening night on Friday 31st July at 6pm, we will be announcing the winners on the night. Then visit across the weekend to view the exhibition and vote in the People’s Choice Award which will be announced at 3pm on Sunday 2nd August.

Entry Fees:
• Single entry: $38
• 5-entry value pack: $150
• 10-entry extra value pack: $228
Each entry includes a professionally printed 8x12inch Ilford Galerie 310gsm Smooth Pearl image, presented with backing board and protective bag.
*Prints will be returned to entrants after the exhibition.

Important Dates:
• Entries open: 1st July 2026
• Entries close: 28th July 2026
• Opening night: Friday 31st July, 6pm
• Competition winners announced: Friday 31 July at the opening night
• Exhibition weekend: Sat 1st & Sun 2nd August 2026
• Voting Closes: 2pm Sunday 2nd August
• Winners announced: 31st July at Opening Night for all 5 categories. The peoples choice will be announced at 3pm on Sunday 2nd August.
