Last year, 150 people showed up from many different groups. So fun!

***PLEASE folks, rather than for everyone to ask sheriffs and other officials how to find our shelter, here are more specific DIRECTIONS:
After you pass the guard shack to get onto the main part of the island, continue straight until the Dead End. When you reach the dead end, turn Left… then make your first right into the parking lot.

All LGBT+++ people, allies, and friends are very welcome. If you hear of group members who do not want to interact with others in our group, please notify the group organizers right away! This is literally called an Inclusivity event, so please model how to be open and welcoming. Bring a smile and strike up a conversation or a game with someone new. Last year, we even had someone drawing temporary art tattoos on people as a way to interact.

It’s time for the BIG annual Holiday bbq! All Poly, kink, LGBTQIA+ people and their friends are all welcome. This FREE event is hosted annually by Tampa Bay Poly. Bring a smile, a bathing suit, food or drink to share, and a willingness to start a conversation with someone you haven’t met.

We have SIX different grills at our shelter (Shelter #14), and you can see from the photo that we are directly ON the beach. We are also only a few steps from the restrooms. Please bring anything you might need for your dish (charcoal, lighter fluid, plates, napkins, utensils, ice, cups, etc). If you can bring music or a portable speaker, that would be great. You can also check the comments for this event on the Tampa Bay Poly group page on MeetUp.com to see what others are bringing.

*Fort de Soto is an island so please bring a little patience for getting on the island, or come early. It’s so worth it!

-Yes, kids are absolutely welcome! Last year, we had newborns all the way to teens ? Please bring those hoola hoops for the kids (and adults!). They were so fun in previous years.
