Kennedy won an Emmy Award for CNN’s United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell and was named Best Comedian at the HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen.

As a writer and correspondent for the Chris Rock-produced Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell on FX, Kennedy brought his distinctive comedic perspective to television, and his writing credits also include The Arsenio Hall Show. His full-length comedy album, Who The Hell Is Dwayne Kennedy?, was produced by W. Kamau Bell and Hari Kondabolu. His stand-up has earned praise from Chris Rock and Marc Maron, while The Village Voice called him a “world-class stand-up” and the Chicago Tribune described him as “legendary.”
