8 Ball Movie Night: "Let's Finnish It Already" Double Feature

8 Ball Movie Night is the Burnout Society Film Club's twice a month free movie meetup.

2025 has been a looooooong year and we've just about had enough. So the Burnout Society Film Club is wrapping the year up with a double feature inspired by Finland's wintertime folklore.

Movies start at 8:00pm with Intermission Trivia in between.

8:00pm THE WHITE REINDEER (1952)
In the lonely snow covered lands of Finnish Lapland, a woman seeks a love spell from a local shaman, but it comes with a terrible cost. While she can make any man she wants fall in love with her, she is also cursed to become a murderous white reindeer upon the full moon.

9:30pm INTERMISSION TRIVIA
Answer difficult questions and win awesome prizes in 3 rounds of themed trivia.

10:30pm RARE EXPORTS (2010)
In Finnish Lapland, a couple of children of local reindeer herders and hunters discover a excavating operation nearby that is hoping to unearth the resting place of a legendary character of folklore: Father Christmas, but if the ancient tales are to be believed this is no jolly cola salesman but a real creature that inflicts severe punishments on whoever it deems naughty.
