The Maes - Abreast album launch at The Sound Doctor

After wowing Sound Doctor audiences with their engaging storytelling and spinetingling harmonies as support for Troy Cassar-Daley last year, The Maes return to The Sound Doctor for a headline show to launch their new album, Abreast.

The Maes are outstanding live. They bring modern folk to life with lush harmonies and acoustic mastery on guitar, mandolin, fiddle and banjo. The sisters draw their audience in like your sweetest and scariest friend. With echoes of Gillian Welch and The Waifs, there is a timeless luminescence and simplicity to the songwriting and sound of Maggie and Elsie Rigby.
