Amánung Sísuan: Discovering How Kapampangan Language Works

To be conducted by Dr. Rynj Gonzales, Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL) and Roger Stone, Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL)

Organized by the Office of the Mayor of Angeles City ~ Kapampángan Language Services Unit (Sídduan ning Amánung Sísuan).

A whole day workshop designed for Kapampangan speakers, enthusiasts, and advocates who are interested in knowing how the Kapampangan language works, participants will discover for themselves the intricacies of Kapampángan grammar from the texts that they generate themselves.

The workshop will be facilitated by linguists from the Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL) who have extensive experience in helping speakers of the indigenous languages of the Philippines with no written grammar document and describe their own language, as well as design textbooks to teach the language to their children.

Conducted at the Sínúpan Singsing Center for Kapampángan Cultural heritage, this workshop is FREE and OPEN to the PUBLIC. Please bring your own writing materials.
