Wednesday 26th April – Phil Andrews: Operation Nightingale: Warriors excavating Warriors
Operation Nightingale is a ground-breaking military initiative. It utilises the technical and social aspects of field archaeology to aid the recovery and skill development of service personnel and veterans who have been injured in conflict. Barrow Clump on Salisbury Plain, investigated over three seasons between 2012-14, provided the opportunity to excavate Neolithic remains, a Bronze Age barrow and an Anglo-Saxon cemetery.
All talks start at 7.30pm. Doors open 7:15pm. Refreshments included.
Price: £5.00 per evening. Discounted rate of £4.00 per evening for bookings made before the 1st April. Buy tickets for 3 talks and get the 4th talk for free.
