An Introduction to Life drawing- Human Anatomy For Beginners
Monday Evening 5th February 2018
6pm to 9pm
Venue- Abbotts Ann Sports Pavilion
£45 - ALL inclusive
This 3hr evening workshop explores the structure of the body with the intention of developing the ability to make up figures. Drawing will be from observation of the life model, memory and imagination, informed by a sense of inquiry and empathy. We will explore how influential the skeleton is to the overall sense of the body to create gesture and its muscular dynamics and how to find that skeleton under the skin.
The workshop will begin with lots of short poses which enables you to practise the basic rules of anatomical proportion as well as gesture and emotion, building up to some longer poses that give time to capture tonal values and detail. There will be a variety of different poses with one model. All levels are welcome including beginners.
Workshop Fee: £45 – This includes tuition, handout notes, professional model fees and refreshments (non-alcoholic as well as wine), your own easel and chair and all standard drawing materials such as pencils, charcoal, erasers and paper. Although, feel free to bring your own equipment or specialised papers to sketch on.
