# Event Details

- **Event Name**: Singer- Songwriter Night
- **Event Start and End Date**: Mon, 12 Oct, 2026 at 07:00 pm (-04:00)
- **Event Description**: Join us Monday, October 12, 2026 from 7-9PM for a wonderful evening of original music from Indiana local singer- songwriters!

Our two performers for the evening are Josh Gillespie and David Sparks.
Josh Gillespie is an Indianapolis-based songwriter and one of the Midwest's hardest-working independent artists. After two years touring Indiana and the region—including 2025 stops in Chicago, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, and Madison—he released his debut EP with Josh Gillespie and the Nomad Collective in 2026, following two solo projects. His live shows blend the energy of rock's golden era with modern indie influences.
David Sparks is a singer-songwriter based out of Lafayette, Indiana. He frequently collaborates with other acoustic and rock musicians around the Midwest. Listeners will recognize the influence of the folk scene of his parents’ generation along with 90s grunge, among other esoteric musical interests. Sparks cites Leonard Cohen, John Prine, Paul Simon, Phish, and Bill Mallonee as some of his musical compasses. His newest record, “Entropy and Love”, is a testament to these influences and a quarter-century of exploring themes of love, loss, pleasure, pain, confusion, and truth in song.

Singer- Songwriter Night, also known as the A Town Special, happens every 2nd Monday of the month, April- December.
