PCLS Introduction to Sumi Painting

The Pierce County Library System is putting on this free event for teens and adults on the island at the ALCC.

Registration is required.

Experience the flowing techniques of sumi painting.

Learn the basics of Japanese sumi (ink) painting with a focus on traditional materials and brush strokes. Sumi and handmade brushes will be used to simplify subjects using as few brush strokes as possible.

Program from 12-1 pm. Library open for browsing from 11 am-2 pm.
