The Alaska Zoo’s 30-acre facility is a naturally wooded boreal forest with the South Fork of Little Campbell Creek running through the back of the zoo. We are seeing migratory species passing through the zoo’s grounds now, so you never know which species you will encounter.

We will have the following self-guided amenities for guests:
- Birding signs with QR codes which visitors can scan with phone cameras to learn about birds and birding.
- Coloring sheets available at the admissions entrance.
