Description:
The Sitka Jazz Week 2026 Quartet will perform a Lionel Hampton Tribute concert from 7-9 pm on Saturday September 4, 2026 at Anchorage Lutheran Church. The quartet will jam on the hot swing songs from the Lionel Hampton Big Band, one of the hottest and most well-known bands from the Great Swing Era. Famous songs will include: Hamp’s Boogie, Flying Home, Airmail Special, Midnight Sun, and Moanin’. These songs are guaranteed to make you want to swing and tap your feet! 

This concert is co-sponsored by a collaboration between the Sitka Jazz Week (www.sitkajazzweek.org) and the Alaska Jazz Workshop, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit arts and service organization providing jazz education programs and performance opportunities in Alaska celebrating 31 years of service to Alaskans!
