On August 30th, local Rotary clubs from across Anchorage will gather to celebrate the tail-end of summer with a “PAWty” supporting Dollars for Dogs, a local nonprofit that funds the Anchorage Police Department’s K-9 unit.
From 11:00am to 2:00pm, in the Koot’s parking lot, families and furry friends are invited to join in on a festive afternoon filled with fun, food, and four-legged heroes.
Highlights include: free hotdogs for humans, doggie bags for your pets, a visit from the Anchorage Fire Department, $5 Canada Pooch cooling vests available for purchase to help raise funds for the K-9 program, and a few more surprises!
This feel-good event is open to the public and perfect for all ages. It’s sure to be a “frank-ly” good time in support of Anchorage’s hardest-working hounds.
Special thanks to generous local sponsors, including: PetZoo, Koot’s, Sysco, The Captain Cook Hotel, AS&G, Alaska Chip Co., WebCo, Alaska Mill & Feed, Anchorage Rotaract, and the Rotary Clubs of Anchorage – whose contributions made this event possible.
