For this First Friday, we’re doing something truly special: featuring actual food as art!
Meet Monica, known as The Moon Muse. Her stunning baked creations blur the line between culinary craft and visual artistry. These aren’t just treats—they’re edible works of art designed to be admired and enjoyed. Explore her beautifully crafted (and delicious) collection, and celebrate creativity in a whole new way.
Monica has operated a home kitchen for over 15 years. What began as a fun cake for a friend evolved into a wildly creative art cake business in Seward. Over the years, her focus has expanded from elaborate wedding cakes to decorated cookies, French macarons, and now her signature big bakery cookies and miniature galettes.
Monica has long had one foot in the gluten-free and vegan baking world, and last year she fully committed to baking exclusively gluten-free and vegan. Every creation is made in a dedicated gluten- and wheat-free kitchen—and everything is completely plant-based.
Come experience First Friday at Visit Anchorage where art isn’t just on the walls—it’s on the table.
