What you Will Learn

During this innovative workshop, educators will quickly appreciate the value and benefits of integrating technology into the classroom. Exposure to a variety of digital tools will demonstrate practical ways to quickly and seamlessly differentiate instruction to provide authentic, exciting learning experiences for all learners. Strategies will be shared that will enable teachers to spend more time individually helping students with content. You should leave this workshop with a plethora of tools to manage your classroom, deepen understanding of content and ignite student engagement. Ultimately, students in your technology-infused classroom will be empowered to regulate behaviors and transform into self-directed learners when utilizing digital tools.

Through hands-on activities, educators will learn ways in which they can digitally communicate content to their students using tools such as hyperlinked activity lists, videos, social media, QR codes, and Google Classroom. They will explore various online tools for students to demonstrate their learning through the creation of digital scrapbooks, multimedia posters, blogs, websites, video presentations, and interactive timelines. Additionally, educators will discover unique ways to assess their students’ understanding and have them reflect on their learning.

Opportunities will be provided for workshop attendees to transform a traditional activity, assessment, or lesson plan into an authentic, engaging, 21st century lesson that reaches the student through their preferred learning mediums.

Take students’ learning beyond the walls of the classroom and allow them opportunities to explore, create, collaborate, and share their knowledge!
