- **Event Description**: The four-night series meets in-person, twice a week for two weeks with one of our certified childbirth instructors. 

The topics covered include the stages of labor, breathing and relaxation techniques, anesthesia used in labor, variations in normal labor and birth, pushing techniques, what to expect after delivery, basic breastfeeding preparation, and some basic baby care. 

Dress comfortably and bring a pillow and water. You are welcome to bring a snack as well.

We recommend that you plan to complete this series before your 36th week of pregnancy.  

Please do not come to class if you are ill. If you miss class due to illness, contact us and the instructor will work with you to get the information you missed.

*This completed class registration is confirmation that you/your partner will stay home if either of you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive in the last 10 days*

Masking may be required while in the hospital. If you or your partner are unable to correctly wear a mask, Parenting with Providence has virtual options available; please contact us so we can work with you. parentingwithprovidence@providence.org
