- **Event Name**: Alaska Deaf Council Inaugural Luncheon
- **Event Start and End Date**: Thu, 05 Nov, 2026 at 11:30 am – Thu, 05 Nov, 2026 at 01:00 pm (-09:00)
- **Event Description**: For many of Alaska’s estimated 100,000 deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind residents, everyday activities like understanding a doctor, participating in school or community events, accessing services, or communicating at work can come with significant barriers.

The Alaska Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deafblind Council works to remove those barriers through advocacy, education, and community-building, creating a more accessible and inclusive Alaska where everyone can fully participate in community life.

Join us on Monday, September 28, 2026, for the Alaska Deaf Council's Inaugural Luncheon. Arrive at 11:30 a.m. to connect with community members, supporters, and advocates. Lunch and the program begin at 12:00 p.m.

You'll hear directly from deaf and hard of hearing leaders about the barriers that still exist, the progress that has been made, and the work that remains ahead. Most importantly, you'll learn how you can be part of building a more accessible and inclusive Alaska.

This event is for anyone who believes that every Alaskan deserves the opportunity to fully participate in their community, regardless of how they communicate or access information.

Proceeds from this event support the Alaska Deaf Council's advocacy, education, and community-building efforts across Alaska.

Seating is limited. Early registration is encouraged.
