It can be difficult to know when to step in, when to encourage independence, and how to support your teen without unintentionally reinforcing their anxiety.Join Katie King, licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and licensed school counselor, for a supportive and engaging three-hour experiential workshop designed to support those parenting adolescent children (ages 12 to 18) to better understand anxiety. We'll look at anxiety symptoms through a developmental lens and gain practical, evidence-based strategies to confidently support teens through life's challenges.Throughout the workshop, Katie will explore the reasoning behind anxious symptoms and the developing adolescent brain, provide practical, straightforward parenting tools, and create space for reflection, discussion, and connection with other parents navigating similar experiences.
