Whether you're new to AcroYoga or looking to deepen your practice, this session will have a combination of learning skills and receiving the benefits of the practice. Guided by experienced instructors, you’ll explore gentle, partner-supported poses that soothe your nervous system, decompress your spine, and relieve tensed muscles for deep relaxation. Therapeutic flying is an excellent place to start if you don’t have so much experience as a base, as the poses are slow and there are not many transitions. If you are working with a person that is heavier and/or taller than you, you are in luck! We have developed new material for the practice, specifically for this situation. Instead of giving Thai Massage in return, with the adaptations the practice of flying therapeutics becomes accessible to everyone. Most of the time we will give multiple options, so you can decide which ones to try and receive the benefits in either case. To feel comfortable during this event, we advise you to wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move in. You will be asked to remove any jewelry for your own safety and comfort. You don’t need any experience with acroyoga or therapeutics. If you already practice acroyoga, we will have more advanced options that you can try as well. Keep in mind that the purpose of the lunar side of acroyoga is to connect, breath and heal together. This often means that less is more!
