During this weekend, the meaning of ‘here and now’ (paccupannadhamma) in Vipassana will be systematically examined through meditation and discussion. The importance of staying in ‘the here and now’ for nibbana attainment during moments of path and fruit consciousness. The role of feeling (vedana) in falling back into the past (atita) and future (samparaya). Why the possibility of preventing attachment (upadana) is only possible in the present through renunciation (nekkhama). The importance of contact (phassa) of the sensory gates with related objects (salayatana) in the development of desire (tanha) and attachment. How renunciation is developed through mindfulness and how generosity (dana) and precepts (sila) contribute to the development of mindfulness (sati). It is also highlighted how renunciation is attained through disciplined naming and through the presence of concentration (samadhi) at the moment of naming. The exercises (bhavana) are interspersed with questions and explanations (sutta). The aim is that yogis may arrive at understanding (abhisamaya) of the importance of the principle “from moment to moment, every moment, all the moment” for attaining a moment of enlightenment. If you only wish to attend for one day, it will only be possible on Saturday. The activities on Sunday are determined by the realizations of Saturday.
