About Lucas van der Vegt & Laurens de Man
Performing on Thursday May 22nd are Lucas van der Vegt and Laurens de Man. The two friends met during their piano studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Since then their careers diverged, but today they are joining their forces for a special concert, a unique occasion!
Lucas van der Vegt is a Dutch playwright, actor and musician. He played in performances by Theater Artemis, Theater Antigone/Action Zoo Humain and BOG. As a pianist, Van der Vegt won several prizes at competitions. He performed as a soloist with the Orkest van het Oosten, the Gelders Orkest and Sinfonia Rotterdam.
Laurens de Man won several prizes as pianist and organist, including the “ECHO Young Organist of the Year 2020” award at the Freiburg Concours. De Man thoroughly enjoys playing chamber music. He has been the principal organist of the Janskerk in Utrecht and in the season 2022-2023, he was Organist in Residence in Leuven, performing regularly on the Contius organ in Leuven.
