- **Event Description**: Join George Schoolyard Naturalist Steele and the Amsterdam Free Library for the 2026 season of Summer Bird Walks. Held monthly May-September, each walk departs from the Southside Boat Launch located on Erie Terrace in Amsterdam. During your approximately two hour long walk along the scenic Mohawk River, Mr. Steele will point out and identify birds by sight and song. Please dress appropriately for the morning's weather and wear comfortable footwear.
Walks will be held Sunday June 7, Saturday July 4, Saturday August 1, and Saturday September 5. Please meet at the Southside Boat Laung prior to 7am.
