We are living through difficult times, there are no two ways about it. As tensions flare up in different parts of the world, all we seem to hear are those with power trying to drown out voices of resistance as the sounds of guns, bombs, and violence echo across the globe.
But who said peace has to be quiet?
When we raise our voices together, we are powerful. Whether it’s protesting, talking with friends, singing together, or simply wearing a badge, everything you do makes a difference. And when we all speak up, we will be heard. The sound of peace is louder than the sounds of war.
Tonight, we invite you to sing together. Resistance can begin with a note, a breath, a voice.
You don’t need any experience – everyone is welcome in the Vocal Circle! The evening is led by Nicoline Snaas, an experienced singer, teacher, workshop leader and conductor. On this special edition, Nicoline will be assisted by guest musicians Otto de Jong and Sherwin Kirindongo.
All proceeds of the evening will support Musicians Without Borders, bringing music to people and places affected by war, armed conflict, and displacement.
