Konrad Koselleck Big Band: Special Requests

Konrad Koselleck Big Band: Special Requests

Join in, vote on the Facebook page of The Konrad Koselleck Big Band and choose what you want to hear at this special concert by the super adventurous Konrad Koselleck Big Band.

Since 2014 Konrad Koselleck has written over 300 arrangements and compositions for his band, including many for one-off concerts. Gems that have only been performed once, regrettably, and that is why Konrad asks fans and members of the band which of these numbers they want to hear again.

The request list features disco classic Kung Fu Fighting, Norwegian traditional Stavkyrkje-Stev, Ramses Shaffy’s Wij zullen doorgaan and Autumn Leaves (really, this has only been performed once by the band). For this concert the musicians of the band will be featured, including great soloists such as Gerard Kleijn on trumpet, Floris van der Vlugt on alto sax and Haye Jellema on drums.

Afterparty with DJ Marijn Philippona!

Announcement by Konrad Koselleck:
HOMMAGE TO BART LUST
"To our great sorrow, on New Year's Eve, our trombonist Bart Lust passed away. During the Special Request evening, we will perform his composition Going Native en other pieces written by and for him. Also other musicians will join the band to bring a musical tribute to Bart. Among them Benjamin Herman on alto saxophone, who regularly played with him since they were 13. This concert is an ode to life. You are more then welcome!"
