- **Event Description**: The ensemble was created in May 2024, after Alkistis invited each of the musicians separately in a duo improvisation session. The sextett researches the boundaries between the musical languages of jazz, classical, folk and free improvisation. Based and active primarily in Amsterdam, they had their debut concert in May 2024 in Splendor, having as a guest musician the cornet player, improviser and composer Ben LaMar Gay . They also took part in Roode Bioscoop Sessies 8.0 | RB x Amarte Session and were amongst the Finalists of The Records 2026. The band recorded Alkistis' first album in January 2025, mixed by Vangelis Katsoulis in May 2025. 
The set, entitled "Vulnerability Portraits," features pieces  inspired and composed by duo improvisation sessions with each member of the band. Each piece in the set is based on two shared memories of vulnerability , captured in the improvisational interplay between different duos within the quintet. The process featured a series of "memory" parameters being translated into musical parameters that guided the improvisations. There is a piece dedicated to each member of the band, as well as two more compositions written independently.
