Robert Tydrych : Musician.Teacher playing djembe, doundoun drums. Co-founder of Guzanghida, playing in the projects such as: Furake, La Passerelle - with students presentation of the drum class.
Simone Heijloo: Dancer, Teacher & Movementcoach. Specialised in African Contemporary dance - with students presentation of African Contemporary Dance class. More info: www.simoneheijloo.nl
23:00 - Melodic Boys- A collabaration of musicians, playing authentic West-African music from the Mandingue. The initiators are Souleymane Cobra Camara and Sekou Dioubaté.
Souleymane is the son of the famous percussionist Sekou Tanaka Camara. He started playing at a very young age in “Percussions de Guinée Junior” and Ballet Communal de Matam”.
He came to Europe in 1995 with Sewa Kan and sinds than performing and teaching in and around the Netherlands. A multi-instrumentalist and builder of djembé, kora and n’goni.
Sekou Dioubaté was born in Ivory Coast and started playing djembé in 1998 after he was schooled in his family as balafon player. After a few years of moving and touring through Guinée, Mali, Algeria, Senegal with “Wassa Percussion”, “Mounafanyi Percussion” and “Ensemble Instrumental”, he settled down in Gambia to focus on playing the kora.
Outstanding balafon and guitar player Mamadou Cissoko is joining The Melodic Boys!! Cissoko is very famous for his powerful solo’s, the way het can re-enforce musicians and their music.
