Gong werd meer dan een band; het werd een eigen mythologie. De huidige formatie is persoonlijk door Daevid samengesteld vlak voor zijn overlijden in 2015. Zijn opdracht was duidelijk: Gong moest blijven voortbestaan en "nieuwe hoogten bereiken die hij zelf nooit had kunnen voorzien." Inmiddels is deze groep de meest stabiele bezetting uit de lange geschiedenis van de band. Al elf jaar lang werken zij samen aan nieuw materiaal en touren ze de wereld over.

Verwacht geen nostalgische act die alleen terugblikt. Gong is anno 2026 een explosieve live-band die de grenzen van de psychedelische rock verlegt. Ze eren het verleden, maar de focus ligt op het experiment en de toekomst.
