As a Certified Scrum@Scale Practitioner, (CSaSP) you will learn how to apply fundamental Scrum and Lean product development skills to scale Scrum from one to many teams across any sized initiative.
Becoming a Certified Scrum@Scale Practitioner (CSaSP) takes two steps:
(1) Attend this highly engaging, two-day certification course
(2) Pass the online CSaSP certification test
Upon passing the CSaSP exam, you will receive a certificate and a two-year membership in Scrum@Scale.
About the course
Scrum@Scale courses are interactive and teach how to scale Scrum through a combination of lectures, hands-on exercises, and real-world case studies.
In this course, you will learn how to apply:
- the Scrum Master cycle
- the Product Owner cycle
- team patterns
- linear scalability
We will spend more than 10 hours on
- assessment and analysis of straights and weaknesses of your organisation
- development of the first draft of implementation strategy for your organisation
- simulations that will prepare you for the implementation of scrum@scale at your company
- analysis of over 14 case studies to learn from others' successes and mistakes
Scrum@Scale is a modular scaling framework that enables the efficient coordination across an unlimited number of Scrum teams through its use of a “scale-free” architecture. Scrum@Scale is designed to enable organic growth and scaling of Scrum to meet the unique needs and constraints of the organization. Created by Dr. Jeff Sutherland, the co-creator of Scrum, Scrum@Scale naturally extends the core Scrum framework across the enterprise.

Luiz “Q” Quintela has over 20 years of experience in multiple industries, including healthcare, financial services, oil and gas, government and energy.
Trained by Dr. Jeff Sutherland as a Scrum at Scale Trainer, Q speaks multiple languages, is a martial artist, pilot and a marksman.
Q held positions of leadership including establishing and being responsible for the operation of a subsidiary in a foreign country. He also led projects in virtualization, product development, cloud, DevOps, and Scrum scaled and has delivered cost effective and innovative solutions throughout his career.
Q is based in the Washington, DC area at Lithespeed but you can find him in multiple places in the US and Northern Europe.
Marta Iffland (Certified Scrum@Scale Trainer, CSM, CSPO, SAFe SA, Certified LeSS Practitioner, PMI-PMP)
Marta has over 15 years experience, with the last decade focused specifically helping organizations make the transition to Scrum and Agile ways of working. Marta has worked in a wide range of industries including Automotive, Banking and Rail Industry. Marta has co-trained with Dr. Jeff Sutherland, and he is known for her highly interactive, thought-provoking workshops. She is a privat pilot and a mom of two girls.

What education or experience should attendees have prior to this course?
Since this is not an introductory course to Scrum, attendees are expected to have earned the two-day Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) credential or its equivalent. Alternatively, comparable real-world experience implementing Scrum is highly beneficial.
Can I earn Continuing Education Credits?
The Scrum Alliance has approved Scrum@Scale as a Continuing Education course. You can get up to 16 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) in addition to 16 Project Management Institute PDUs by participating in our two-day course.
