Brazilian Music Series presents Wanda Sá Trio Feat Bernardo Lobo
On April 21st, we are happy to invite you for the opening of the Brazilian Music Series 2018. We are thrilled to announce one of Bossa Nova muses and icons, the legendary Wanda Sá.
Wanda has grown together with Bossa Nova. Vagamente (1964) and Softly (1967) were marks of the genre and she has rapidly spread her style abroad: with a soft velvet voice and a delicate style that has become a trademark for the style till date.
She started as a student from the Menescal/Lyra academy and has rapidly grown to become a teacher. Afterwards, a wanted interpreter for the style and one of its earliest representant abroad together with Tom Jobim, Eumir Deodato, and Sergio Mendes.
After launching three albums in Los Angeles, a 20 years old Wanda has chosen to come back to Brasil. The world missed a muse on those years. Fortunately, she has picked up her career in the 80’s and is in 2018 more productive than ever. In this session we will have a special participation of Bernardo Lobo, featuring his influences and songs of his just released album C'Alma.
To set the tone, play with us Vagamente - a masterpiece album from the classic Bossa Nova -
We hope to see you at the Bim!
