A unique free public display timeline event focused on the food and rations that fed soldiers through the years. All eras are welcome, friend and foe, including military, home front, and camp followers. Field kitchens will compete and offer samples of period meals for a donation to attendees. There are static displays, shooting demonstrations, military surplus vendors, kids’ activities and more. 

Around 5,000 people attended in 2025 and next year is expected to be even bigger! 

This event is a partnership with the Lorain County Visitors Bureau, Amherst VFW Post 1662, Military History Preservation Group, and the Amherst Historical Society.
