This event showcases our third professional year Doctor of Physical Therapy students as they present their capstone research projects in a 30 minute platform format. The event is the culmination of three semesters of clinical research coursework with a faculty mentor including formulating a research question, completing a comprehensive analysis of the clinical literature, developing an appropriate method to investigate their research question, writing a human subjects review proposal that was submitted and approved by the University’s Institutional Review Board, data collection and analyses, preparation of a manuscript suitable for submission to a scientific journal and the platform presentation at the Research Symposium. The symposium is open to family, friends, students and clinicians and has been extremely well attended in the past.
