              - From the Farm: A Personal Reason to Give - 

In 2006, Valerie, Cider Hill Farm’s Program Director, was diagnosed with an end stage of Myelodysplastic Syndrome, a rare blood disorder that affects the bone marrow. She required a stem cell transplant - a procedure that required numerous transfusions of red blood cells and platelets from anonymous donors before she was able to produce her own blood again. Moved by Valerie’s survival story and with the full support of the farm team, we are transforming gratitude into action with a series of blood drives held right here on the farm this season. We hope you'll join us. 

"Hosting blood drives is a way to honor those who helped me when I needed it most and to give others that same chance at hope and healing. Every donation truly makes a difference - I’ve lived it. I am deeply grateful for the generous spirit of Cider Hill Farm and our community. Coming to work and the farm everyday is a gift.
