Simon Estes: A Heart & A Voice: Documentary and Conversation

Experience the exclusive second screening—and Iowa premiere—of "Simon Estes: A Heart & A Voice," a documentary tracing the extraordinary life of the trailblazing bass‑baritone who broke racial barriers in opera and carried Iowa’s spirit onto the world stage. The film follows Estes’ artistic rise and his far‑reaching humanitarian work. A post‑screening conversation with Estes, moderated by Brad Dell, chair of Iowa State’s Department of Music and Theatre, offers a rare chance to hear directly from the legendary artist.

The conversation with Estes and Dell will be recorded and can be found on the Available Recordings page approximately two business days after the event. It will remain accessible for three weeks.
